A.I.M. Dance Studio Policies

Ages 2–18

Tuition

Tuition is payable on a monthly basis and is due the 1st lesson of each month, The first payment is due in September continuing through and including May. There will be a $20 fee for accounts that are not paid by the 15th and a $30 fee for all returned checks. Tuition and late charges apply to all accounts.

There is a $25.00 non-refundable enrollment fee for all students. At the time the enrollment fee is paid, your space in class will be reserved.

Tuition remains the same regardless of the number of lessons for that month. It is non-refundable and non-transferable. There are no reductions in tuition for lessons cancelled due to bad weather. Make-up lessons will be scheduled for a later date. There are also no deductions for missed lessons due to your personal situations.

Dress Codes

  • All jazz, ballet, and tap shoes must be black.
  • All dancers must wear fitted dance clothes of any color or style. Please make sure they wear socks or tights to prevent blisters from their jazz and tap shoes. Please refrain from having your child wear clothes with glitter. I do agree that it is pretty, but it is very messy as well!

Example: Fitted dance pants (yoga pants), fitted tank tops, leotards, dance Tights, or fitted shorts (tights will need to be worn under baggy shorts)

Please provide a dance bag that has your dancers name somewhere on it. This will help my assistants with the younger classes.

Appropriate cover-ups must be worn while entering and exiting the building. No jeans, t-shirts, or baggy clothes allowed while dancing.

Attendance Rules

Regular attendance is crucial in order for dancers to improve and accomplish new skills. Those with poor attendance interfere with progress for the class as a whole group. It is unfair for other dancers to have to repeat skills they have already mastered due to poor attendance of classmates.

Please call the studio and leave a message if you’re going to be absent: 580-716-9095.

Drop Out Procedure

Immediate notification is required if your child no longer wants to continue with classes.  You will be required to pay for all dance classes received. Registration fees are non-refundable as well as Costume fees. (Costume fees are invoiced in November.) Costumes are ordered as soon as the fee is received. Since they are made to order I cannot return them or collect a refund. You will receive a costume regardless if your child is in the recital or not.  If a dancer is to drop out of a class, you may not re-enroll in the dance program at A.I.M. Dance Studio until the next season.

Child Pick Up

Dancers are to be picked up promptly following classes and at no time are allowed to leave with anyone that is not on the child's pick up list. The instructor will need notification of any changes for that day before class begins.

Sitting Out

If a student is unable to dance but is feeling well enough to attend class, please let them participate by observing and being as much a part of the lesson as possible. Students who feel ill, have a fever, or are exhibiting “contagious” cold symptoms should stay home and rest.

Class Observation

No one is allowed in class other than dancers. This rule is in place so classes go uninterrupted.

Snow or Bad Weather

A.I.M. Dance Studio generally follows the school closings. I will contact you ASAP to allow you the proper time to adjust your schedule.

Discipline Policy

  • Please come to class on time and ready to learn with your dance attire on.
  • If any student is being disrespectful, unruly or disruptive, the instructor will allow the child to sit out until class is dismissed. A meeting with the parent/guardian will take place after class.
  • No foul language will be permitted at anytime in the studio. There shall be no horseplay during the class.
  • All logo dance attire must be paid in advance before ordering.
  • Food, candy, and gum are not permitted in the classrooms at anytime with the exception of water. The only beverage allowed in the studio is water.

Thank you for your time and cooperation
